House Concert at Brad's

Imagine a space where you can see world-class acoustic music up close and personal amongst a small group of music lovers. Every month or two, my Baltimore living room transforms into an intimate performance space for acoustic music groups from across North America. This is a labor of love, not a business. All donations go the musicians. These events are private and invitation-only. To get an invitation, contact me and I'll put you on our email list that gets all the news first. Every show starts at 7pm and ends by 9pm. Many guests bring food and drink to share. The house concerts are great for all ages. I hope to see you at a show!

You're invited! Bring friends, food, drink and a smiling face for what will surely be a beautiful evening of music and community. Steam Machine is a midwest based old time/bluegrass music project fronted by award winning Minneapolis fiddler AJ Srubas and Twin Cities old time music & dance instigator Rina Rossi on guitar. Originally formed in 2017, Steam Machine brought to the national stage a midwest influenced string band aesthetic that didn’t draw such hard lines between bluegrass and old time music. Smooth powerful fiddling, driving three finger banjo, front-of-the-beat rhythm backup combined into a “suspiciously entertaining” sound. At home playing for both old time/bluegrass loving crowds and listeners new to these sounds, Steam Machine aspires to keep midwest influenced old time bluegrass music alive and well wherever they go.

Cost: $20-$30 suggested sliding scale donation for adults. 14 & under free.
