House Concert at Brad's

Imagine a space where you can see world-class acoustic music up close and personal amongst a small group of music lovers. Every month or two, my Baltimore living room transforms into an intimate performance space for acoustic music groups from across North America. This is a labor of love, not a business. All donations go the musicians. These events are private and invitation-only. To get an invitation, contact me and I'll put you on our email list that gets all the news first. Every show starts at 7pm and ends by 9pm. Many guests bring food and drink to share. The house concerts are great for all ages. I hope to see you at a show!

You're invited! Bring friends, food, drink and a smiling face for what will surely be a beautiful evening of music and community! One of the most exciting young stringbands on the Old Time scene today, The Shoats are an Alt-Folk group who make music rooted in, and informed by their Appalachian home. West Virginia native Mary Linscheid, brothers Gus and Huck Tritsch of Millheim, PA, and Alex Heflin of Morgantown, WV, set an alt-folk soundtrack to the strange late-stage capitalist Appalachia they grew up in. Calling on their collective backgrounds in folk songs, honky tonk, and the Appalachian high-lonesome sound, the Shoats reimagine the songs and sounds of their home through haunting original material and well-loved covers. The Shoats won the Appalachian String Band Music Festival’s Neo-Traditional Band Competition in 2023, just a few months after the band’s formation.

Cost: $20-$30 suggested sliding scale donation for adults. 14 & under free.
